Writing is an art form but it’s also a science. A science more mechanical in nature than formulaic.
Some of the work I’ve seen lately leads me to believe far too many writers are using fluff to cover up their lack of imagination. I, for one, do not want an author telling me what a person is wearing or about their immediate surroundings, all in great detail. Detail’s are stuff I can imagine for myself, thank you very much.
I write in the style of Ernest Hemingway and Stephen King, who both wrote/write “bare-bones” fiction. No fluff, just tell the story and let the reader fill in the blanks. Meaning, stick to the basic story line.
I’m in the process of getting my work online, so standby for some great writing and some launch dates.
